Case Studies
Bespoke CMS System
The client, Orchard Cottages is a properety letting and management company. The
requirement was to develop a complete replacement for the existing website and create
a simple custom CMS system for the staff to add and remove properties and news articles,
whilst the look of the site was to be made clearer crisper and more in keeping with
the rest of the business.
We developed a simple ASP.NET site with a SQL database and administration area.
The site is now clean, crisp and easily navigable. It now attracts significantly
more visitors, and the time on the site has increased dramatically.
Custom Desktop Application
The client had an old system that interacted between the website, processing customer
orders, and the sage system. The process was fairly involved and the existing system, although dated in design,
worked well. However a minor change was required due to a new server and the original
developer was no longer around, and the source code was not available.
We developed a new desktop application that was fully configurable, extended the
functionality, and provided the client with the source code.
We want clients to come
back to us because they like the way we work and not because they have no other
choice.
Custon Web Based Application
The client approached us needing an update to their aging, access based, customer
database as well as a way to link client enquiries from their website to the new
system.
We discussed all of the options and decided on an ASP.NET MVC, CRM system based
on a SQL database. We also built a SOAP API for interfacing the enquiries from the
existing website directly into the database. The system generates a number of reports
and allows generation of invoices from within the system.
Bespoke Desktop Application
This employment agency client was a new start-up business and they had developed
a simple paper based system to handle registration of new candidates. They realised
that the time that would be spent re-entering this data, once a computerised system
was in place, could potentially overwhelm them. Therefore we decided to work with
them in an Agile way, and developed a simple data entry system in just a few days.
From this, the product has and continues to evolve into a full product allowing
them to automate large parts of the client candidate matching process. Future developments
are likely to involve integration with twitter and Facebook, SMS messaging and invoicing
systems.
The product was built in C# and SQL server and is deployed using click once technology.
